In our second painter focussed solo exhibition this summer, Longsight Art Space is extremely excited to present Akinyemi Oludele, one of the most prolific, energetic and generous artists working in Manchester today. This exhibition is an introduction to the artists' paintings and part of a long term professional development programme with him to support his practice over the next 12 months, resulting in another major exhibition in the summer of 2024.
About the artist:
Artist Akinyemi Oludele (Onashile Art) is a familiar figure on Manchester’s arts and music scene and if there is a gallery event, jazz concert or a poetry reading, you will most probably have seen him mingling in the crowd with sketchbook in hand, capturing the event in his own inimitable style. He is also a prolific sharer of work on social media; delivering political satire just as succinctly as capturing the atmosphere of a jazz concert.
